Drylining
We specialise in high quality drylining; installing plasterboard onto studded systems or using the dot-and-dab method.
Whilst standard plasterboard is ideal for most environments, it shouldn't be used in constantly damp conditions. For kitchens, bathrooms and similar damp areas, Gyproc Moisture Resistant should be used. It's specially designed with silicone additives in the core so it just shrugs off water it's great as a tile backer.
Most common plasterboards come with the option of either tapered edge or square edge. Tapered edge boards are ideal for either jointing or skimming, while square edge is generally used for textured finishes. Joint cracking on plasterboard ceilings is almost invariably caused by warping of the joists as the wood dries out. Screw fixing the boards will generally prevent the problem occurring. Although you can apply wallpaper directly to the paper surface of plasterboard, ideally the surface should first be sealed with one coat of Gyproc DryWall Sealer to allow easy stripping at a later date.
Tape and Jointing
Gyproc Easi-fill is applied to the joint to embed the tape and immediately overcoat to fully fill the tapered board edges and just feather out onto the board suface. Allow to set - minimum 140 minutes then apply the finished coat feathered out beyond the first.
After the finished coat has dried, sand lightly to remove trowel marks etc. Apply Gyproc Drywall Primer to the whole surface for painting or Gryproc Drywall sealer in one coat to prepare for wallpapering or two coats to provide a vapour check.
Plastering and rendering
All aspects of plastering is carried out. Wall and ceilings can be either skimmed onto plasterboard or walls can be bonded out and them skimmed. We all carry out all aspects of external rendering.

Patching
Perhaps you had a leak and part of the ceiling has been damaged; we will remove the damaged plasterboard; replace and plaster or artex to match the existing area. This not only saves you time but money as well. Patching can also be done to walls i.e. you may have had electrical chasing's done. We will repair and match into existing so you just have to paint thus saving you time and money.
Coving
A wide variety of decorative effects can be achieved quickly and simply using Gyproc accessories to enhance walls and ceilings, and to relieve flat runs of lining, joints and angles.
Ceramic Tiling
We carry out ceramic wall and floor tiling to a high standard. This can either be done on a supply and fix or on a fix only basis. Bad walls will be repaired and floors levelled prior to tiling.
